HONDA XBLADE

well its positioned as commuter and the pricing puts it exactly between the CB Hornet and the CB Unicorn.

First impressions this design is definitely a head turner. The tank aggressively designed tank shrouds the futuristic as Honda puts it the roboface LED headlamp look very interesting.

The all new LCD instrment cluster which says good bye see you soon when you turn off the screen add a funky touch which also come with a gear position indicator sadly the switch gear misses out on an engine kill switch but you do get a hazard light switch. functional grab rails trust one the best and most interestingly designed saree guard ,throaty dual port exhaust muffler . Now coming to the power plant which is that sturdy very much reliable Honda engine similar to the pricing its postioned between the Hornet and Unicorn producing 13.9 Ps of power and 13.9 Nm of torque at a relatively high 8500rpm which when tested in any daily commute conditions Now this motorcycle get a very upright ergonomics with slightly rear set footpegs and even when its positioned as a commuter it still get a sporty single lever gear shifter. Even when in effectively this motorcycle gets most of its hanging parts from other Honda motorcycle it still has its own identity and that very much important.

Now this motorcycle gets sealed chain which is a low maintenance chain which means the lubricant for the chain self-contained between the inner and the outer linkages and completely sealed off with the o rings and hence the chain requires very less maintenance which reduces your cost of maintenance in future

Riding this motorcycle the handling is very good as the suspension is stiffly sprung but sadly the it effects ride quality but here the long and comfortable single piece seat comes to the rescue which slightly improve the riding quality still not much.

braking on this motorcycle is catered by a 276mm disc and 130mm drum which might look not adequate but in the practical world actually work just fine but when you’re riding this motorcycle out on the highway you feel the need for more bite.

Only thing I would love to see is the CBS,ABS and perhaps a rear disc at least as an option. But of course as the ABS norms are coming into effect in the year 2019 we will definitely get it.

But why buy this bike now well first if you’re in the market looking for a Honda 150cc motorcycle which has that study reliable Honda engine that ticks all the basic boxes with a head turner styling well if that’s what your looking for that the Xblade is the one for you
