JAWA classic and JAWA 42

well on first impressions the design feels so right reminding us of the old jawa. with almost the minute details like the Jawa batching on the handle grips and the cam casing. while the 42 being a more modern approach to the Classic with its simple design and a flat handle bar with both motorcycles having a dome integrated headlamp and the instrument cluster with the Jawa ,while the Jawa 42 having a offset instrument cluster. With the 2 stroke ports growing into 4- stroke manifolds

The interesting bit is the design of the engine which being liquid is still made to look as if it’s an air cooled motorcycle with the machine cut fins on the engine block with engine being a fuel injected with throttle bodies having an interestingly designed cover.

with a single piece seat having strap grab and the suspension being a regular telescopic and in the front and while the rear being a 5 step adjustable dual gas charged shocks coming in from Gabriel with a dual cradle frame housing everything.

Now the most interesting technology that has gone into this motorcycle is the exhaust which houses a decibel killer which regulated the way the exhaust gases come out such that you can adjust the volume of throatiness of the exhaust note which can be done by sliding the decibel killer back and forth.

Well Classic legends claims that this motorcycle is made approachable but before we see how approachable it’s time to thank the good folks at Quadros auto Tech they are one of the first dealerships for Jawa in Goa if you wish to take a test ride or plan on buying they are at your service at all times if you want the exact location it’s in the description

The vehicles suspension is also the same fashion as that of the engine being more biased towards the comfortable side than for handling but throw in a set of corners the bike will not disappoint you while the rigid double cradle compensates for its soft suspension all in all long hours in the saddle for all those looking for to tour will not face any problem with seat also being wide and comfortable. The story with the tyres the grip is not the problem what is the feedback the MRF nylogrip rob away the confidence from you when you try to push. Even with the drum brake at the rear and single channel abs at front the brakes are decent all though they can do with bit more bite.

a brand that was fallen behind because of emission has come ahead by being ahead of its time well this is a motorcycle which is BS – 6 complaint and far ahead of its time.

If you haven’t got the concept yet what I’m talking about is feel of riding the motorcycle which Jawa has got bang on the feel of lightness the feel of being an old school charm while being modern at the same time change is not to feared of it is to be embraced that’s what has got right for this retro classic yet we very modern Jawa and the Jawa 42.

Apparently at this price (1.64 jawa 1.55 EXs 42 ) they are not cheap with rear you still getting a drum and only a single channel ABS but at the end of the day man look the way the things have been put together nothing feels out of place and everything feels well put together even if the ground clearance may not look like it’s fairly decent for the nastiest of the speed breaker. while I’m sure a rear disc and dual channel ABS will be surely come to the market. But if for now if any wants a modern refined retro classic which is very much reliable the feel of the Jawa being a market hit if Classic legends being able to deliver the vehicle on time is not far away.
