Scooters have always been a merely used as means of daily commuting from your home to work or to college to all those millennial out there however some manufacturers have gone ahead and made scooters that can be used for touring. But Yamaha with their out of the box thinking and made scooter for rallying across multiple terrains. Now calling it street rally does confuse whether it for the road or for rallying.
were just going to have to test it both places..
the design really stands out with its sharp and edgy looks carried ahead from the Ray Z does make it stand out with the redesigned front fender giving you an impression that it has a long travel suspension. With its knuckle guards and a sculpted short visor to enhance the overall sportiness well this design does turn heads with a functional boot with 21 litres of boot space and a well arranged fully digital instrument cluster which has an eco mode indicator and a tachometer with a noticeable marked speedometer in the center .
hitting the busy streets what is noticeable is the lag in initial pickup moving away from standstill but as going gets fast the fast gets going and peppiness of the 113cc engine can be felt ,with the suspension being a typical Yamaha setup which gives handling a upper priority over comfort .The most significant technology in this scooter is the cooling for the belt where the air ducts under the seat which sends air to cool the engine down. Its time to head into the woods and see whether this scooter lives up to its rally tag.But before we set off its time to thank the good folks at Pratik Motors who have been kind enough to lend us the vehicle. They have their dealership network across the state. if you want test ride or buy this vehicle all you need to do is to come down to any of their dealership across the state if you want the exact location its in the description Man at first I thought its way just a tag but it does make a sense the engine though feels underpowered for the tuff environment but the riding dynamics don’t the feedback from the suspension is great for something that is powered by just a 100cc and a scooter. The braking because of nissin single piston disc brake is great an coupled with the combi braking system gives great bite in the front.wheel well at end you see there are a lot of vehicles offering the same proposition at nearly at the same price then why the Ray ZR street rally. firstly that reliable Yamaha engine and splendid riding dynamics for 100cc with sharp design does make the difference if that is what looking for than the Yamaha RayZR street Rally is the one for YOU.
